A New Home, A New Beginning: ANC Sekhukhune Brings Hope to Moraba Family

Tears of joy streamed down the faces of the Moraba family as they received the keys to their new home, courtesy of the ANC Sekhukhune Region.


Led by Regional Secretary Tala Mathope, a consummate leader equal to the task and custodian of the ANC Sekhukhune Region, the region officially handed over the house with furniture to the family at Mareseleng village in Fetakgomo Tubatse Sub-Region on 26 September 2025.


The Moraba family's story is just one of many examples of the ANC Sekhukhune Region's dedication to improving the lives of its community members.


The region's leadership, under the guidance of Regional Secretary Tala Mathope and Deputy Secretary Eddie Maila, RET Coordinator and Mayor of Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, a hardworking leader who has been instrumental in driving development in the region, has been working tirelessly to identify and support families in need.


"We are overwhelmed with gratitude, "Mrs. Moraba, the matriarch of the family, said with tears in her eyes. "The ANC Sekhukhune Region has shown us that they truly care about our well-being. This new house is a blessing from God, and we are forever grateful."


The community is also singing the praises of the ANC Sekhukhune Region's leadership. "Cde Tala Mathope and his team have shown remarkable dedication to our community," said Sam Mampuru, a local resident. "Their humility and willingness to listen to our needs are qualities that we appreciate and admire."

Another community member, Eva Mokoena, added, "The ANC Sekhukhune Region has brought hope to our community. They are not just leaders, but servants who are committed to making a difference in our lives."


The people of Sekhukhune are loyal to the ANC because the leadership has consistently shown humility, love, and respect for them and ordinary people. This has earned the party a strong following in the region, evident in their electoral successes. By prioritizing the needs of its people and delivering tangible results, the ANC Sekhukhune Region has built a legacy of trust and loyalty with its community.


As Mathope aptly put it, "The dignity of Moraba family is now restored. This household is now part of the ANC family, we therefore request the branch to visit them regularly and continue assisting with the basics. Your life will never be the same." This commitment to the well-being of its community members is a hallmark of the ANC Sekhukhune Region's leadership, and it will undoubtedly continue to drive positive change in the lives of the people they serve.
