THOHOYANDOU, LIMPOPO— The African National Congress is taking the lead — gloves on, uncompromised.

Limpopo ANC Provincial Executive Committee Member, ANC Limpopo Head of Communication and Provincial Spokesperson, and MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Cde Tonny Mochene Rachoene will step into the ring for World Kings Boxing on 31 July 2026 at the University of Venda Stadium.

He stands shoulder to shoulder with fellow ANC leader, Vhembe District Executive Mayor Cllr Miyelani “Bazooka” Chauke. Together, these two ANC deployees are turning political will into physical action with one battle cry: NO TO GBV. A FIGHT FOR RESPECT. A FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE.

This is the ANC redeeming itself through service. This is the ANC leading from the front on the most unorthodox and destructive trend facing South Africa — Gender-Based Violence.

Presented by Limpopo Champions Boxing with Khoroni Hotel, Casino & Convention Resort and the University of Venda, this initiative goes beyond Limpopo. It is a call to the citizens of South Africa: the fight to eradicate GBV is everyone’s fight.

For months, the nation has watched processes like the Madlanga Commission and work through the Ad Hoc Committee grapple with the state of our society. Now, ANC leaders are answering with action.

Rachoene, who carries the weight of communication for the ANC in Limpopo and sits on key provincial structures, is putting the organization’s commitment into the ring. Mayor Chauke, an ANC mayor, brings local government into the same stance.

GBV is broad. Women and children bear the brunt, but men are abused too. Men are victims too. This fight is for all South Africans. The ANC is saying it clearly: No victim must be unseen. No abuse must be tolerated.

This is leadership that bleeds for the nation. This is the ANC taking responsibility, inspiring citizens, and setting a symbol for South Africa.

LET’S FIGHT TOGETHER. LET’S END GBV.

Big, bold, titles correct, ANC leadership centered, and GBV framed for all.
