Fetakgomo Tubatse Municipality's Executive Mayor Eddie Maila has been officially named in the ANC's Limpopo Provincial Top Five slate as Provincial Treasurer, a move that cements his reputation as one of the most effective and trusted leaders in the province.

Various regions confirmed the full slate: Dr Phophi Ramathuba as Chairperson, John Mpe as Deputy Chairperson, Vhamusanda Reuben Madadzhe as Secretary, Pule Shayi as Deputy Secretary, and Eddie Maila as Treasurer.

This announcement was met with jubilation in Sekhukhune, where Maila's own region and the ANC Youth League publicly endorsed him, hailing his grassroots campaigning and his ability to deliver results for ordinary people. Academically, Maila holds a Bachelor of Public Administration (Honours) from MANCOSA, a Project Management certificate from Stellenbosch, and qualifications in Municipal Finance from Wits and Local Economic Development from the University of Johannesburg, giving him the technical expertise to manage the province's finances.
