LEPELLE-NKUMPI - On 24 October 2026, the men of Lepelle-Nkumpi will do what South Africa has been begging men to do for years: They will stand up, speak up, and march.
Not against women. For them. For children. And for themselves.
Civic movement Bhodla Ndoda - We Restore Men's Dignity has announced a massive March Against GBVFA - Gender-Based Violence, Femicide and Androcide that will bring Lebowakgomo to a standstill.
The message on the poster is simple and it cuts deep: Men must speak up when they have problems. Your voice matters. Your life matters.
This is not another talk-shop in a hall. This is men on the street, in purple, saying enough is enough.
According to the official poster released by Bhodla Ndoda, the march will start at Mohlapa Garage at 10:00 AM on 24 October 2026 and proceed to Lebowakgomo Complex Zone A.
Organizers have called for a strict dress code: Purple or branded uniform of your organisation. Purple is the colour against GBV. On that day, Lepelle-Nkumpi will be purple.
The march will feature some of Limpopo's biggest voices: Faith Prosperity, Nyakoana Serumula, Dinare Brothers, Itani The Revivalist, Foreman, Rastaman Nkushu and Bandox. It is part protest, part prayer, part revival.
What makes this march different is who is behind it.
This is not a one-organisation march. Look at the bottom of the poster. The entire state and community machinery has signed on as participating stakeholders:
SAPS, Department of Social Development, Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality, Parliament of the Republic of South Africa - National Parliament, Department of Arts and Culture, Transformation Movement, Department of Correctional Services, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), and the Limpopo Province Office of the Premier.
When SAPS, NPA, Correctional Services, Social Development and Parliament march together under a banner that says "We Restore Men's Dignity," it stops being a local march. It becomes national policy on the street.
A senior organiser from Bhodla Ndoda told The Azanian: "We are tired of burying our sisters and we are tired of burying our brothers in silence. GBVFA includes androcide - men are dying by suicide, men are being killed, men are not speaking. Bhodla Ndoda says a man must speak. If you have a problem, speak. Your voice matters."
The theme for the day: "Let's Protect Our Community, Let's Restore Safety in Our Land."
South Africa is in a crisis of violence that no longer makes sense. Women are being killed by partners. Children are being abused. And men - young men - are killing themselves and each other because they were taught that speaking about pain is not manly.
Bhodla Ndoda flips that. It says speaking IS manly. Seeking help IS dignity.
The inclusion of Androcide - the killing of men - alongside Femicide in the march title is deliberate and brave. It says no one is left out. Stop Violence Against Women and Children, but also restore men's dignity so they stop perpetuating the cycle.
The movement has opened its lines for all formations to join: Contact Bhodla Ndoda on 079 818 8539 or 081 305 0169.
Together We Can Make A Difference.
On 24 October, Lepelle-Nkumpi will not just march. It will preach what South Africa needs to hear: Real men protect. Real men speak. Real men march against abuse.
Lebowakgomo Complex Zone A at 10AM. Purple on.
