Under the leadership of Executive Mayor Cllr Makoro John Mpe, City Manager Thuso Nemugumoni has been instrumental in driving excellence in Polokwane Municipality. As the accounting officer, Nemugumoni has played a key role in securing the municipality's fourth consecutive unqualified audit opinion from the Auditor-General.

"Thuso Nemugumoni is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of municipal finance and governance," said Mayor Mpe. "Her leadership has been instrumental in ensuring that our financial statements fairly present the municipality's affairs, and that we continue to deliver quality services to our residents."

Nemugumoni's expertise and dedication have been recognized by the Auditor-General, who commended the municipality's sustained financial management and performance. "The success is a result of the entire administration's hard work and dedication to excellence," Nemugumoni said.

The community is singing her praises, with many expressing their appreciation for her tireless efforts. "Thuso is a gem! She's always approachable and willing to listen," said Thandiwe Ndlovu, a Polokwane resident. "We're lucky to have her leading our city."

Under Nemugumoni's guidance, Polokwane Municipality has made significant strides in improving service delivery, infrastructure development, and community engagement. Her commitment to transparency and accountability has earned her respect from the community and her peers.
