Madoda Johannes "Joe Ferrari" Sibanyoni at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on 30 September 2026. Concluding his testimony, Sibanyoni said: "Along those lines, even if I felt the other way round, as a Christian I had to refer to the Holy Matthew Chapter 5 Verse 11 and 12 that says 'Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake, rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.' In a nutshell Mr Chairman, because I was a student at some point, it is during this time of the day when I used to quote one of my quotable quotations which says as follows: 'As the lovesit of chronometer symbolically indicating the twinkle twinkle of konta konta.'"

Pretoria — Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe "Ferrari" Sibanyoni ended his testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on Tuesday, 30 September, with a Bible verse and a thank you to his family and legal team.

Sibanyoni finished his testimony about 10 minutes ago today after two days of intense cross-examination over alleged organised crime, a R2-million extortion case, and a meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

On the extortion allegation, he distanced himself from his associate Bafana "King of the Sky" Sindane, who sent WhatsApp messages demanding payment from businessman Dr Tengane Ntuli over a SANRAL Moloto Road tender.

"He was acting on his own. Ntuli and I had a good relationship; I never sent him any threatening message. That's why the project was not stopped. I don't know why he wrote this way; it was not me."

On his meeting with President Ramaphosa, he said: "My interaction with the president and a Cabinet minister was conducted in relation to legitimate public and community matters of which I had first-hand knowledge."

When pressed on his warning of "interference" with Putco buses, he said: "If maybe that word of interference comes out to be the other way, we can replace it with engagement so that we allow the flow of this commission. But definitely my interference was not meant in a bad way."

In his closing remarks today, captured in your audio, Sibanyoni said:

"I want to thank the commissioners and the Chairman particularly for giving me this opportunity to come and explain myself to yourselves and to the public, to hear some narratives that were not positive to me as a President, as a father, as a grandfather.

"Secondly, to thank my legal team for the support they have shown me all along. I understand it was a mammoth task to do. To my family and all the viewers at home and on Twitter, I say thank you for the support, not painting a negative narrative into my life.

"Lastly to the evidence leader Mr, we had some nice talks between me and you all the time. Even if at some point I could feel that you're on the wrong foot or trying to buy some other people's stuff like I've mentioned, you're becoming personal or you are taking your part-come matters directly to me. We spoke about that and you accepted my point in so many words, Mr Siwanyoni. Thank you.

"Along those lines, even if I felt the other way round, as a Christian I had to refer to the Holy Matthew Chapter 5 Verse 11 and 12 that says 'Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake, rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

"In a nutshell Mr Chairman, because I was a student at some point, it is during this time of the day when I used to quote one of my quotable quotations which says as follows: 'As the lovesit of chronometer symbolically indicating the twinkle twinkle of konte konte.'

"It's just to evacuate this arena leaving you with these few words: See me when I see you. If you don't, we shall see one another in the near future and there we shall smile because this was well planned by Almighty God."
