President Cyril Ramaphosa told to repremind ANC Secreatry General Fikile Mbalula.

ANC members in Limpopo are sounding the alarm, urgently calling on top party officials led by President Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene and halt Secretary General Fikile Mbalula's alleged destructive trajectory that's perceived to be decimating the party's fabric in the province.

"We need President Ramaphosa to stop Mbalula from killing the ANC in Limpopo by pushing his own selfish, unorthodox agenda trends," implores a senior Limpopo ANC member, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The bone of contention revolves around Mbalula's obstinate refusal to release and implement the damning Investigation Report into grave irregularities plaguing the Peter Mokaba, Vhembe, and Mopani Regions.

Sources indicate the National Task Team recommended total dissolution of Peter Mokaba Region due to catastrophic breaches: failure to meet the ANC's 70% constitutional threshold, participation of disqualified branches, registration of bogus delegates, and disregard for the National Dispute Resolution Committee (NDRC) report. In stark contrast, Vhembe and Mopani Regions were given a green light, with findings deeming their irregularities less pervasive.

Critics allege Mbalula's stonewalling stems from protecting factional allies and nurturing personal ambition – tactics seen as corrosive to ANC ethos and transparency. "He's failing to implement the report because he's shielding his allies, fuelling perceptions he's more interested in power plays than party unity," asserts a disgruntled Limpopo ANC official.

The Investigation Report's absence from the National Working Committee (NWC) agenda heightens unease about Mbalula's stewardship. Limpopo members warn inaction risks deepening fractures: "The report's clear: Peter Mokaba must be dissolved. Mbalula's refusal betrays selfish interests over party health."

As pressure mounts, questions swirl about President Ramaphosa's response – will he act decisively to curb Mbalula's alleged obstructionism, or will factional loyalties and succession politics further paralyse the ANC's beleaguered internal mechanisms?

The party's capacity to confront such rot, observers note warily, may well determine whether the ANC navigates its current turmoil or succumbs to the centrifugal forces eating away at its foundations.
