Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has made her intentions clear that she has embarked on enhancing people’s lives by officially launching the Dikgerekgere service delivery program on Wednesday with Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC and ANCYL Provincial Chairperson Tonny Ernest Rachoene at Ga-Mongalo Village in Lephalale Local Municipality, Waterberg District on roads D3112 and D3126.

Ramathuba’s administration said this program aims to revitalize the province's road infrastructure because most roads in Limpopo are gravel and therefore these kinds of interventions are imperative, potent and essential to ensure that the roads remain in good condition, free from potholes, and safe for all road users.

"The maintenance of an integrated road infrastructure not only ensures safe road usage but also facilitates socio-economic development in the province. That's why we fully support this initiative by MEC Rachoene," said Premier Ramathuba.

In addressing the community members who witnessed this momentous programme geared to put Limpopo on the map, Ramathuba said dilo di tshentshile(things have changed/it is business unusual) therefore she will not tolerate laziness, entitlement and corruption in her administration.

The militant and consummate first Limpopo Premier told her detractors and nemeses that she is not elected to be loved but to work tirelessly therefore she won’t be captured by forces of doom and gloom who have an ambition of pushing their own selfish  agendas of milking the State purse through corrupt tendencies.

Ramathuba also lambasted the doubters known as “Thomas of this world” who questioned the appointment of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC Rachoene. “Let me put it to you, I have full confidence in MEC Rachoene. He is young and energetic and equal to the task. I respect the elders, however let's allow young and energetic people to execute their work speedily and professionally. At times some old politicians will tell you that they have been in Robben Island and you can’t instruct them because you were young when they fought for freedom. It becomes difficult to work with them  when they address you like that.  I put it to you, dilo di tshentshile(things have changed/it is business unusual), we must accelerate service delivery speedily and therefore MEC Rachoene is doing exactly that. Ours is to ensure that we improve the lives of our people without trepidation. The Dikgerekgere service delivery program is a perfect example that young people like MEC Rachone are equal to the task,” said Premier Ramathuba.

Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure MEC Rachoene said Premier Ramathuba is a consummate leader who leads by example. “Mosadi o swara thipa ka bogale(fearless brave woman). We are lucky to be led by Premier Ramathuba who demonstrated that she is a workaholic who is equal to the task. She demonstrated this even during her tenure as the MEC of Health. You will never find her in the office. She was always out working tirelessly and ensuring that service delivery is accelerated to our people. I urge the people in my department and public servants to emulate our leader Premier Ramathuba,” MEC Rachoene said.
