Truth. Fearless. Unfiltered.

EFF leader Julius Malema says the only way forward for South Africa is a coalition between his party, the ANC, and the MK Party. Speaking at a media briefing, Malema emphasized that this alliance is crucial for the country's future, ruling out partnerships with the DA and other opposition parties.

Malema's comments come as the EFF and ANC are already working together in Gauteng, with the MK Party's support. The EFF is pushing for a similar alliance nationally, arguing that no party will win an outright majority in the 2026 local government elections or the 2029 national elections.

"We must choose wisely now for the future," Malema said, urging the ANC to accept that it won't win an outright majority again. The EFF is also targeting the DA's majority in Cape Town, aiming to reduce their influence.

Malema's vision for a coalition government is driven by his conviction that the DA and other opposition parties are not committed to serving the interests of the majority. "There's nothing the DA is going to do," he said, dismissing the idea of partnering with them.

The EFF is already working to consolidate its position in Gauteng, with Nkululeko Dunga appointed as MEC for finance. Malema praised the move, saying it's crucial for stability in the province.

Malema also revealed that the EFF has promised to support the MK Party in KwaZulu-Natal to topple the current coalition. In return, the MK Party is expected to support the EFF's MEC in Gauteng in passing budgets.

The implications of Malema's comments are significant, suggesting a major shift in South African politics. The EFF, ANC, and MK Party could form a powerful alliance, shaping the country's future.

As the 2026 local government elections approach, the stakes are high. Malema's message is clear: the EFF, ANC, and MK Party must unite for South Africa's future.
