In a significant move, Limpopo MEC for Health, Ms Dieketseng Mashego, led a high-level delegation to Tshilidzini Hospital in Thohoyandou, underscoring the province's commitment to improving healthcare services.


The visit, which included honourable members of the Provincial Portfolio Committee of Health and departmental executive management, aimed to assess the hospital's operations and identify areas for improvement.


The delegation's arrival at Tshilidzini Hospital signals a new era in Limpopo's healthcare landscape, with Mashego emphasizing the need for transformative change. "We are here to listen, to learn, and to act," she said, highlighting the province's focus on people-centered healthcare.


The visit comes amid growing concerns about the province's healthcare system, with reports of inadequate resources, poor infrastructure, and staff shortages. However, Mashego's leadership has been praised for its commitment to addressing these challenges.


"We are committed to ensuring that every Limpopo resident has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their background or location," Mashego said. "This visit is a testament to our dedication to improving healthcare services and leaving no one behind."


The delegation's oversight briefing with the National Portfolio Committee on Health highlighted the province's progress in implementing healthcare reforms. Key areas of focus include improving emergency services, enhancing patient care, and strengthening healthcare infrastructure.
