AGANANG —While others talk about service delivery, Executive Mayor Cllr Makoro John Mpe delivers it.
This Friday, 21 August 2026, the City of Polokwane will witness yet another milestone of progressive, people-centred governance as Mayor Mpe officially hands over a life-changing Water Project and BNG (formerly RDP) houses to the proud residents of Ward 43 in the Aganang Cluster.
Venue: Phanda Sports Ground, Phoffu Village, Ward 43, Aganang Cluster
Date: Friday, 21 August 2026
Time: 10H00
This is not just a handover — it is dignity restored. It is the ANC’s promise of a better life for all, made real.
For the families of Phoffu Village, the taps that will now flow represent health, convenience and the end of long walks for water.
The houses that will be handed over represent security, pride and a foundation for future generations. This is what happens when the City is led by a Mayor who listens and acts.
Mayor Mpe, affectionately known as the people’s Mayor, continues to prove that Polokwane is indeed Naturally Progressive. Under his leadership, no ward is too far, no village too small. From the city centre to the deep rural clusters of Aganang, service delivery follows the people.
In a further demonstration of Batho Pele and integrated governance, the Executive Mayor has ensured that on the day, essential government services will be brought directly to the people from 08h00 — including Home Affairs, SASSA, and SAPS — making access more convenient and bringing the state closer to the community.
One event. Three victories: Water is life, a house is dignity, and services on your doorstep is true care.
This is leadership that touches the ground. This is Mayor John Mpe — a leader who does not wait for people to come to City Hall, but takes City Hall to the people.
Ward 43, Aganang is ready. Phoffu Village is ready. Re aga Polokwane!
