Polokwane Executive Mayor, Cllr John Makoro Mpe, is breathing new life into the city's infrastructure with the nearing completion of the Nelson Mandela Drive rehabilitation project.

This ambitious initiative is a testament to Mayor Mpe's commitment to restoring dignity, confidence, and the very heartbeat of Polokwane.

As the project reaches over 90% completion, the transformation is evident. The road has been meticulously rebuilt, refreshed, and redefined, with refined groundwork, cement stabilization, and perfected asphalt. Paving and sidewalks are being restored step by step, while safety markings take shape.

Mayor Mpe extends his heartfelt gratitude to the Seshego/Polokwane Taxi Association, Westenburg Taxi Association, Moletjie Taxi Association, residents, and all stakeholders for their patience and resilience during the project. "Today, we stand on this historic stretch where change is rising," Mayor Mpe said, proud of the progress made.

Nelson Mandela Drive is more than just a road – it's a symbol of renewal and a beacon of hope for the community. Under Mayor Mpe's leadership, Polokwane is committed to restoring infrastructure, dignity, and confidence, one project at a time.
