In a powerful display of humility and community spirit, ANC Peter Mokaba Regional Chairperson and Polokwane Municipality Executive Mayor, Makoro John Mpe, led a delegation to visit the bereaved Makwela family in Ward 34.
The visit was a heartfelt gesture to honor the memory of Koko Cilia Moshibudi Makoela (98), a dedicated ANC voter who passed away after casting her vote in the recent by-elections.
The ANC's resounding victory in Ward 34, securing over 70% of the votes, is a testament to Mpe's effective leadership and the trust the community has in him. This landslide win is a clear indication that the people of Peter Mokaba Region appreciate the ANC's commitment to serving the community.
Mpe's actions embody the values of the ANC: care, compassion, and dedication to the people. Unlike other parties that use people for votes and abandon them when challenges arise, Mpe's team is committed to standing with the community, every step of the way.
The delegation, which included Regional Secretary Cde Lesiba "Pathfinder" Matsemela, Regional Treasurer Merriam Molala, and other key officials, stood in solidarity with the family and demonstrated the ANC's commitment to its members and the community.
"To the Makwela family, I bring you heartfelt condolences on behalf of the ANC Peter Mokaba Region," said Mpe. "Koko Cilia's dedication to our movement will never be forgotten. Her vote was a testament to her faith in our party, and we will honor her memory by continuing to serve our community with compassion and integrity."
"The ANC is not just a political party, it's a movement that cares," said "Pathfinder" Matsemela, Regional Secretary. "We are proud to stand with the Makwela family and the community during this difficult time. Our victory in Ward 34 is a testament to the trust the people have in us, and we will continue to work tirelessly to serve the community."
A representative of the Makwela family expressed their gratitude for the visit and support, saying, "We appreciate the ANC's kindness and compassion during this trying time. It's a comfort to know that our mother's vote was not in vain, and that the ANC is committed to serving our community."
The people of Ward 34, have spoken loud and clear – they want leaders who care, and they have found that in Mpe and the ANC.
