Leadership of the ANC Sekhukhune Region.
The ANC Sekhukhune Region has continued its mission of building a united and disciplined ANC, which has given birth to uncontested leadership, a testament to the region's commitment to party unity and collective leadership.
This approach has earned the region massive appreciation from ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula, following the successful 9th Regional Conference.
Building on this momentum, the ANC Sekhukhune Region held its first ordinary Regional Executive Committee (REC) meeting after the conference on May 21, 2025, at Elias Phakane Moretsele House in Jane Furse.
The meeting marked a significant milestone in the region's leadership journey, with the election of a new Regional Working Committee (RWC) and the establishment of sub-committees to drive key initiatives.
Under the guidance of Regional Chairperson Minah Bahula, the REC meeting welcomed newly elected leaders and emphasized the importance of commitment, dedication, and unity as the organization approaches the 2026 local government elections.

The RWC, comprising 11 members, was tasked with spearheading the region's activities, while Cde Sam Uwane was appointed as the Regional Spokesperson.
The REC also established seven sub-committees, each focusing on critical areas such as governance, elections, organizing, economic transformation, health, education, and communication.
These sub-committees will play a vital role in addressing community needs and promoting the ANC's agenda in the region.
To ensure effective monitoring and support, the REC deployed members to the four sub-regions, with clear convenors and teams. An induction workshop is scheduled for June 2-3, 2025, to equip REC members with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties diligently.
