Sekhukhune - In a poignant display of solidarity, ANC Sekhukhune Regional Chairperson, Cde Minah Bahula, visited families affected by the devastating lightning incident in Ward 37, Fetakgomo Tubatse Sub-Region, conveying the party's heartfelt condolences and commitment to support.


The lightning strike, which occurred on Thursday, claimed the lives of two beloved members of the community, Shaku Raputu Treki of Sepakapakeng and Bapela Mmahlahle of Magagamatala. Cde Bahula's visit was a gesture of emotional support, acknowledging the immense loss and pain the families are experiencing.


"I am deeply saddened by the loss of these two precious lives," Cde Bahula said. "We stand with the families during this difficult time and commit to providing necessary support to help them through their grief."


Following the visit, Cde Bahula proceeded to Mphanama Community Hall, where she convened with ANC volunteers. She expressed her gratitude for their tireless efforts, which contributed significantly to the ANC's successful retention of the ward in the By-elections held on 05 November 2025.


"Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed," Cde Bahula said. "We will continue to work together, building a better life for all our people."


The ANC's condolences and support for the affected families have been echoed by the community, with many praising the party's swift response and commitment to the people.


The Azanian sends its condolences to the families of the victims and joins the ANC in wishing them strength and resilience during this difficult time.
