The Mayor of Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, His Worship Cllr Eddie Maila, visited the Apel new stands electrification project on Thursday, May 8, 2025, to inspect the progress of the project.

The project, which started on March 10, 2025, aims to electrify 365 households in the area and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025.

Mayor Maila and his team of Executive Committee members were briefed about the project and expressed their satisfaction with the progress registered so far. The project is one of the municipality's initiatives to improve the lives of residents in Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality. Maila thanked the community members for their support, noting that the project has been implemented without any disturbances.

The Mayor was accompanied by a team of senior officials, including Head of Infrastructure Development Cllr Mojalefa Halinda, Head of Community Services Cllr Mokome Elsie, Head of Corporate and Shared Services Cllr Mashego Maria, Ward 36 Cllr Matheba, and Ward 39 Cllr Tlape. The team inspected the project site and was impressed by the progress made.
