Merchandisers and business people selling ANC regalia at the Jack Botas venue in Polokwane are fuming as their businesses have been severely affected by the repeated postponements of the Peter Mokaba Regional Conference. For the fourth time, the conference has been aborted due to irregularities, leaving vendors with significant financial losses.

The merchants had invested heavily in preparation for the conference, expecting a large turnout of delegates. They stocked up on ANC merchandise, including t-shirts, caps, and banners, in anticipation of high demand. However, with the conference's repeated cancellations, the vendors are now struggling to recoup their losses.

The much-anticipated Peter Mokaba Region conference was meant to take place at The Ranch in Polokwane, but the event has been postponed to May 16-18, 2025, due to ongoing disputes and irregularities within the ANC.

The ANC's internal disputes and irregularities have not only affected the party's internal dynamics but also had a ripple effect on local businesses. The merchants are now calling for the conference to be held as soon as possible, so they can finally benefit from the event.

The Peter Mokaba Regional Conference has been postponed due to ongoing disputes and irregularities within the ANC. The formation of fake parallel structures has compromised the integrity of the party, and the disputes have resulted in a divided party. John Mpe, the ANC Peter Mokaba Region Task Team Convenor, faces a challenge from Mamedupi Teffo in the contest for the Peter Mokaba Region Chairperson position.

The ANC Provincial Secretary, Reuben Madadzhe, has confirmed the postponement, citing outstanding verdicts from appeals pending before the National Dispute Resolution Committee. The committee's adjudication process must be completed before the conference can proceed.

The ANC in the Peter Mokaba Region must navigate the challenges and disputes that have been plaguing the party. The outcome of the conference will be crucial in determining the region's leadership and direction. The party must prioritize unity and stability to restore its integrity and ensure a prosperous future for its members and the community.

The merchants at Jack Botas venue in Polokwane are eagerly awaiting the successful hosting of the conference, hoping to recoup their losses and benefit from the event. The ANC must find a way to resolve its internal disputes and ensure that the conference is held without further disruptions.
