The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure, led by MEC Tonny Rachoene, has taken a significant step towards empowering the youth and promoting skills development in the province.

As part of its commitment to improving the lives of Limpopo residents, the department has embarked on a program of signing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges across the province.

The MOUs aim to foster collaboration between the department and the TVET colleges, providing students with practical skills and experience in various fields, including construction, engineering, and infrastructure development. This partnership will not only enhance the employability of students but also contribute to the development of a skilled workforce that can drive economic growth and development in the province.

The signing of the MOUs is a key component of the 7th Administration's agenda to promote economic development, improve education, and create opportunities for the youth. By partnering with TVET colleges, the department is demonstrating its commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders and ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce.

The MOUs are also in line with the province's Operation Tsoga Moshomi initiative, which aims to accelerate service delivery and promote economic growth. The initiative is part of the broader Let's Grow Limpopo Together campaign, which seeks to promote collaboration and partnership between government, business, and civil society to drive development and growth in the province.

The department's commitment to empowering the youth and promoting skills development is also reflected in its Leave No One Behind approach. By partnering with TVET colleges and providing opportunities for students to gain practical skills and experience, the department is ensuring that no one is left behind in the province's development journey.

The signing of the MOUs marks a significant milestone in the province's development journey. By empowering the youth and promoting skills development, the department is contributing to the creation of a brighter future for Limpopo.

As the province continues to grow and develop, the department remains committed to its mandate of improving the lives of Limpopo residents and promoting economic growth and development.

The MOUs will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the province, and the department's efforts to empower the youth and promote skills development are a testament to its commitment to the people of Limpopo. As the province moves forward, it is clear that the future is bright, and the possibilities are endless.
