Lebowakgomo, Limpopo – As the countdown begins for the imminent opening of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature, the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure (DPWRI) is pulling out all stops to ensure the iconic building dazzles in its new splendor.

A behind‑the‑scenes visit reveals the department’s unsung heroes—internal staff members—toiling tirelessly to refurbish and maintain the premises, breathing new life into the seat of provincial governance.

Under the visionary leadership of MEC Tonny 'Dikgerekgere' Rachoene, the DPWRI has ramped up efforts to transform the legislature into a beacon of professionalism and pride. Walls are being repainted, gardens manicured, and infrastructure upgraded, all aimed at providing a world‑class facility for lawmakers and the public.

“This is a testament to what we can achieve through #StrengtheningInternalCapacity,” said a proud departmental official, gesturing to freshly polished floors and gleaming windows. “MEC Rachoene’s #DikgerekgereWednesdays ethos is driving us to exceed expectations.”

The refurbishment forms part of the department’s broader initiatives like #OperationTsogaMoshomi and #21NewRoads, underscoring its commitment to service excellence in the 7th Administration. “DiloDiChenchitje—things are changing,” remarked a worker, echoing the sentiment that under MEC

Rachoene, delivery is not just a promise, but a habit.

As Limpopo residents prepare to witness their legislature in a fresh light, the message from DPWRI is clear: excellence is the standard. “Let’s grow Limpopo together,” they say, as the final touches turn this architectural gem into a symbol of progress.
