Gauteng ANC Convenor and Premier Panyaza Lesufi has ignited a firestorm with his scathing assessment of the Marry Me informal settlement in Pretoria, revealing that a staggering 65% of its residents are undocumented foreign nationals. This explosive disclosure comes on the heels of a brutal attack that claimed the lives of six community patrollers, casting a harsh spotlight on the area's dire need for intervention.

Speaking at the ANC Gauteng Provincial Task Team Lekgotla, Lesufi delivered a blunt ultimatum: "Document yourself or leave us in peace." His words echo a growing frustration with the status quo, where the lack of documentation and accountability has allowed lawlessness to flourish.

Lesufi's ire extends beyond the issue of undocumented migrants. He lambasted Gauteng municipalities for their filth, noting that even President Cyril Ramaphosa has taken notice. "Municipalities must be clean, not for the G20 summit, but for the people of Gauteng and our country," he demanded.

The ANC leader's message is clear: it's time for decisive action. "We can't allow this to continue," he stressed, calling for a comprehensive plan to tackle the twin crises of undocumented migration and municipal neglect.

As Lesufi's words reverberate through the province, one question hangs in the air: will his bold stance translate into meaningful change, or will it merely add fuel to the already heated debate on migration and governance in South Africa?
