The 2025 Youth Parliament at the Limpopo Legislature in Lebowakgomo, brought together young leaders and stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting the youth of Limpopo.


As the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure in Limpopo, Tonny Rachoene, who stood in for Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, delivered a progress report on the resolutions of the previous Youth Parliament.


This year's Youth Parliament is themed "Skills for the Changing World-Empowering Youth for Meaningful Economic Participation" and aims to equip young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in the economy and contribute to the development of their communities.


As the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure in Limpopo, Rachoene has been instrumental in driving initiatives that benefit the youth. One notable project is the Dikgerekgere service delivery program, launched on July 10, 2024, which aims to revitalize the province's road infrastructure and create jobs for young people.


The program has set aside 300 jobs for local unemployed young men and women to maintain and repair roads in the province's five regions for the next five years.
