Malema’s ego subjects EFF to leadership and membership exodus

Julius Malema’s arrogance has subjected his party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) to political suicide attempts which gave birth to his prominent allies dump him and crossing the floor to join Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP).

The EFF leader from Seshego whose party was once the third largest party after gaining 25 National Assembly seats is becoming the shadow of its former self after losing prominent leaders to MKP like his former deputy and now MKP secretary general Floyd Shivambu, EFF former national chairperson adv Dali Mpofu, former Public Protector adv Busisiwe Mkwebane and former EFF leader in Limpopo Jossey Buthane.

Malema, the president of the EFF party which is now the fourth largest party after this year’s elections is already gunning for his ally Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi following Mpofu’s departure.  Adv Mpofu said he is joining the MK Party because he believes it is the vehicle through which the much-needed black and progressive unity can be achieved.

He wrote on his X page formerly Twitter to weigh in on Mpofu’s resignation.

“Only two more of your favourites remain, and the list will be finalised. They sing beautifully and are always willing to pose for pictures and sign roll calls, but remember, their souls are long gone. To prevent any potential hurt, it’s crucial to heed the guidance of the leadership. We remain standing and are not going anywhere under a criminal syndicate,” posted Malema who is believed to be directing his utterances to talented singer politician Dr Ndlozi.

Shivambu said the MKP party is blessed to be joined by capable, disciplined, hard-working, and selfless leaders.

“Welcome advocate Dali Mpofu to the movement which has superior ideological, political, and organizational capacity, composure, and temperament to unite all the anti-colonial, anti-imperialist and anti-racist progressive forces in South Africa to fight for total political, economic, social, spatial, cultural, and knowledge/ideological freedom and emancipation. The MK Party is blessed to be joined by capable, disciplined, hard-working, and selfless leaders! It’s No retreat!” Shivambu posted on his X page.
