Truth. Fearless. Unfiltered.

Deputy President Paul Mashatile has vehemently denied allegations made by Sergeant Fannie Nkosi at the Madlanga Commission, labeling them "categorically false" and an affront to his integrity.

Nkosi claimed that Mashatile had met with Mr. Vusimuzi Cat Matlala or that Matlala intended to meet with him, allegations that the Deputy President says are "completely unfounded".

In a strong statement, Mashatile emphasized that he has never met or interacted with Matlala, nor does he know who the individual is. "I was out of the country at the time the alleged meeting supposedly took place, making it impossible for me to have been involved," he added.

Mashatile has expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the Madlanga Commission, offering any necessary clarification or assistance. "I reject these baseless claims and expect the Commission to investigate the origins of this misinformation," he said through his Acting Spokesperson, Keith Khoza.

The Deputy President's rejection of the allegations has sparked intense interest in the Commission's proceedings, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the matter.

The allegations have sparked widespread debate, with many questioning the motives behind them. "Clearly, people cannot go to commissions and recklessly call people's names without evidence. It's unacceptable for someone to claim they wanted to meet someone, and then the person denies it. The public deserves better than this kind of rumormongering," said legal expert.

Mashatile's strong response has been seen as a bold move to take control of the narrative and show he's not afraid to fight for his reputation.
