Friday, 13 March 2026 - In a powerful display of government responsiveness, MEC Mashego led the Bophelopele Outreach Awareness Event at Molapo Community Hall in Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality, taking essential services directly to the people of Ga-Molapo.
The event was a resounding success, with community members flocking to the hall to access a wide range of integrated government and health services, including Home Affairs assistance, SASSA support, oral health screenings, eye testing, hypertension checks, HIV testing, and TB screening. The outreach was designed to reduce the need for residents to travel long distances, making it a game-changer for the community.
Speaking at the event, MEC Mashego emphasized the government's commitment to people-centred service delivery. "Programmes such as Bophelopele are a clear demonstration of government's commitment to people-centred service delivery. We are bringing hope, dignity and essential services directly to our communities so that no one is left behind," Mashego said.
The community of Molapo expressed their gratitude for the initiative, with Kgoshigadi Kekena and Seloane, the Speaker of Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality, Councillors, and community members all praising the outreach effort. "This is what we need, services that come to us, not the other way around," said one community member.
Mashego's team was on hand to ensure the event ran smoothly, and the community responded enthusiastically, accessing the services on offer. The outreach was a testament to the power of government working together with communities to drive positive change.
The Bophelopele Outreach Awareness Event is part of the government's
ongoing efforts to promote prevention, early detection, and access to social support services. #BopheloPele #RuralHealthcareMatters #LeaveNoOneBehind #7thAdministration #ALimpopoThatWorksForAll #LetsGrowLimpopoTogether
