CAF President Patrice Motsepe has lauded the Moroccan government and Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for their dignified response to provocations from the Senegalese Football Federation.

Motsepe's comments came during a visit to Rabat, where he praised Morocco's restraint in the face of criticism.

The tension stems from the 2025 AFCON final, where Senegal walked off the pitch in protest of a VAR-assisted penalty awarded to Morocco. CAF subsequently declared Morocco the winner, citing Senegal's abandonment of the match. Senegal has appealed the decision, sparking a heated dispute.
