Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, has spearheaded the #DikgerekgereWednesdays initiative, focusing on repairing and rebuilding critical infrastructure damaged by recent floods in Sekhukhune, Mopani, and Vhembe Districts.


The initiative, led by MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Tonny Rachoene, saw the team hit the D4126 Mahlabeng road in Fetakgomo-Tubatse Municipality, one of the many roads severely affected by the floods.


The #DikgerekgereWednesdays program is a testament to the provincial government's commitment to reconnecting communities and ensuring the wheels of progress keep turning. "We are determined to ensure that our communities are reconnected," the Premier's statement read, highlighting the urgency of restoring vital road networks.


The floods have wrought significant damage, isolating communities and disrupting economic activity. With the #DikgerekgereWednesdays initiative, the Limpopo government is tackling the challenge head-on, prioritizing roads like the D4126 to restore connectivity and bring relief to affected areas.


As the province works tirelessly to rebuild, residents of Sekhukhune, Mopani, and Vhembe Districts are breathing a sigh of relief, hopeful that better days are ahead. The government's swift action underscores its commitment to serving the people and driving development forward.
