LIMPOPO — Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has once again shown why she is regarded as one of the most grounded and people-centred leaders in the 7th Administration, when she delivered a powerful keynote address at the United African Apostolic Church conference recently.

The Premier, who was joined by ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula and the Provincial Secretary of the ANC in Limpopo, Reuben Madadzhe (Vhamusanda Reuben Madadzhe), used the sacred platform to honour the role of African Initiated Churches in building South Africa.

In her address, Ramathuba declared that the United African Apostolic Church is not on the margins of our democracy — it is central to South Africa's faith story and part of the proud African Initiated Church tradition that kept our people together during the darkest days of apartheid.

She thanked the church for pioneering faith with discipline and reverence, for building strong families, shaping morality in our villages and townships, and for keeping hope alive when hope was all we had.

Premier Ramathuba said the church's welcoming spirit, captured in the timeless hymn “Ha Miriri Ri Dzula Ro Takala,” is exactly what South Africa needs today — a nation in need of healing, unity and compassion.

Drawing from the Word, the Premier cited Micah 6:8, urging the church and leaders alike to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God. She called on the congregation to remain united in preserving what past bishops built, saying unity is the greatest tribute to those who came before us.

She further thanked the church leadership for its continued contribution to the moral and spiritual life of the nation, noting that Limpopo cannot be built by government alone, but by partnerships with faith communities.

The presence of ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula and Provincial Secretary Reuben Madadzhe alongside the Premier sent a clear political message: the ANC in Limpopo is united, it respects faith, and it is led by a Premier who understands both governance and God.

While other provinces are rocked by infighting, Limpopo under Ramathuba, with the full support of Luthuli House and the provincial leadership of Madadzhe, is showing stability, discipline and spiritual grounding.
