President Cyril Ramaphosa graced St Engenas Zion Christian Church with his presence in Limpopo during its annual Easter conference on Sunday afternoon.
The gathering happened barely three days after 45 people who were travelling from Botswana were killed when their bus veered off a bridge which an 8-year-old survived while travelling with her grandmother.
Pilgrims countrywide and beyond gathered at the denomination’s headquarters in Moria near Polokwane attended Easter pilgrimage.
Ramaphosa was accompanied by Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopha to get blessings ahead of the much-anticipated general elections this year. EFF leader Julius Malema reportedly visited the church.
Meanwhile, ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula spent his time at Covenant Fellowship Church International in Esikhawini in KwaZulu Natal.
