Rachoene Delivers: Limpopo Roads Get a Major Boost with 21 New Projects

Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure MEC Tonny Rachoene
Limpopo MEC for Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure, Tonny Rachoene, has delivered on his promise to upgrade the province's road infrastructure network.
Communities in the Collins Chabane, Makhado, and Thulamela municipal areas of the Vhembe District will soon enjoy traveling on improved roads, thanks to the introduction of contractors to upgrade roads from gravel to tar.
The projects are part of the #21NewRoads initiative, which aims to transform the province's infrastructure landscape. Roads such as D3661 from Ha-Tshikonelo to Xikundu village, D3754 from Bungeni to Tshiphuseni, and D3719 connecting DeHoop to Nkuzana in Collins Chabane Local Municipality will be upgraded. Additionally, road D3695 at Ha-Rambuda under Thulamela Local Municipality and D3727 road from Ha-Mulima to Tshitale village in Makhado Local Municipality will also benefit from the upgrades.
MEC Rachoene emphasized the importance of quality work, timeliness, and budget adherence, stating, "Deliver quality work, on time and within budget. Communities are watching, and so are we." This initiative demonstrates the department's commitment to delivering quality services and improving the lives of Limpopo's residents.
The event was attended by traditional authorities, the Acting Executive Mayor of the District, Cllr Munyai, and Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Cllr Shadrack Maluleke, among others. This collaborative effort showcases the government's dedication to intergovernmental relations and cooperative governance.
With more projects planned for the future, the #21NewRoads initiative is set to have a lasting impact on the province's development. MEC Rachoene's leadership and commitment to delivering quality services are driving this change, ensuring a brighter future for the people of Limpopo.
Tomorrow, the drive heads to Waterberg District, where contractors will be introduced to new projects, further solidifying the province's development momentum.
