Rachoene Delivers on Promises: Major Roads Infrastructure Boost for Capricorn District

In a monumental stride towards transforming the lives of Limpopo residents, MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Tonny Rachoene, has launched a groundbreaking roads infrastructure development drive in the Capricorn District.
This bold initiative is a testament to the provincial government's unwavering commitment to accelerating service delivery, driving economic growth, and bridging the infrastructure gap that has long hindered the region's progress.
The project involves the upgrading of gravel roads to tar across multiple local municipalities, including Polokwane, Lepelle-Nkumpi, Molemole, and Blouberg. Some of the specific roads being upgraded include:
- Polokwane Local Municipality: Roads D1809 and D4030 (5km from gravel to tar, connecting Nobody, Laastehoop, and Mothapo) and Road D3377 (5km from gravel to tar between Limburg and Matlala)
- Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality: Roads D3613, D3614, and D3595 (Madisha Roads, 5km from gravel to tar)
- Polokwane, Molemole, and Blouberg Local Municipalities: Roads D3474, D440, and D343 (5km from gravel to tar, linking Ga-Moleele, Schoongezicht, Ga-Dikgale, and Uitkyk)
MEC Rachoene emphasized the importance of adhering to high standards of workmanship and engaging with local communities throughout the project lifecycle. He assured stakeholders that regular monitoring and evaluation will be conducted to ensure that timelines and budgets are adhered to.
