Truth. Fearless. Unfiltered.

In a powerful display of government responsiveness, MEC Tonny Rachoene launched Service Delivery Week in Giyani Local Municipality, Limpopo, on 07 April 2026.

The initiative, championed by Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, aims to bring essential services closer to communities still reeling from recent flooding that damaged infrastructure and disrupted access to basic services.

His hands-on approach underscores the government's commitment to improving road infrastructure and restoring access to basic services. "We’re fixing the roads, restoring dignity," he emphasized, highlighting the impact of the work on local communities.

The road infrastructure was severely damaged by the recent floods, but Rachoene's department is working tirelessly to restore access and ensure safer travel for residents. "This is more than just fixing roads; it's about reconnecting communities and reviving local economies," Rachoene said.

Service Delivery Week will see various departments rolling out programmes across Giyani and surrounding areas, making a tangible difference in education, healthcare, and social services. Rachoene's leadership is turning things around in Limpopo, proving he's a results-driven MEC who gets things done.

As Giyani residents witness the government's efforts, hope is renewed. "This is what we’ve been waiting for – government coming to our doorstep," said a local resident.

With Rachoene at the helm, Limpopo is moving forward, one road, one service at a time.
