Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has lavished praise on MEC for Health, Dieketseng Mashego, spotlighting her standout achievement as the province basks in the glow of impressive audit outcomes under the 7th Administration.

Dr Ramathuba’s glowing assessment comes after she concluded a rigorous evaluation of the remaining six Members of Executive Council, with Mashego’s performance in steering the Health Department earning notable accolades alongside her counterparts in COGHSTA, Social Development, Sport, Arts & Culture, Provincial Treasury, and Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure.

The Premier’s satisfaction with the process underscores a broader success story — a remarkable 10 Limpopo departments recently secured unqualified audit reports, a testament to the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in governance. “We have observed positive audit outcomes across all departments,” Dr Ramathuba said, emphasizing that this momentum is pivotal to further enhancing the province’s service delivery model aligned with key performance areas established under their strategic thrust.

Dr Ramathuba’s appraisal of MEC Mashego is set against a backdrop of strategic alignments — following the signing of Service Delivery Agreements between the Premier and MECs, coupled with commitments to robust reporting and interaction on progress. “This process is intended to further enhance our service delivery model, reflecting each key performance area we have established,” the Premier noted, signaling a sharpened focus on translating governance successes into tangible benefits for Limpopo’s people.

The assessment underscores the synergy within the 7th Administration’s priorities, celebrated as part of #alimpopothatworksforall — a vision that harmonizes with current provincial celebrations like #HeritageMonth2025 and #TourismMonth2025, showcasing Limpopo’s multifaceted progress.

As the province marks these significant months, Premier Ramathuba’s endorsement of MEC Mashego cements a narrative of capable leadership driving progress, with achievements in health contributing to a broader tapestry of provincial excellence. The message is clear: under the 7th Administration, Limpopo is pushing boundaries, with leaders like Mashego delivering results that resonate with communities.
