The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure recently held a welcoming ceremony for the third cohort of recruits at Jack Botes Hall. The event marked an important milestone for the department as it continues to strengthen its internal capacity.


This initiative is a testament to MEC Limpopo MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Rachoene's commitment to creating jobs in Limpopo for youth, elders, and people living with disabilities.


MEC Rachoene officially welcomed the newly recruited staff members, commending them for joining a department that plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of the province's infrastructure.


Rachoene emphasized the importance of the department's work in improving the lives of Limpopo residents. "Job creation is crucial in changing people's lives and improving the community's well-being," he said. "The Seventh Administration has proven itself equal to the task, demonstrating its potency in driving meaningful change and development."

"We are proud to be part of a government that is dedicated to creating opportunities for our people," he said. "I'm overjoyed that my child has been employed by the department," said one parent. "This means we'll be able to put food on the table and pay school fees. It's a huge relief." Others expressed gratitude for the opportunity to care for their families. "I'm thrilled to be able to provide for my family," said a new recruit. "This job will make a huge difference in our lives."



MEC Rachoene highlighted the department's achievements, saying, "We have done it again, as the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure welcomed 81 new employees into the department. This brings to 435 new employees that have been appointed in a period of 10 months. One hundred and eighty-seven (187) more positions have been recently advertised and anticipated to be filled by December this year. This is a direct response to one of the priorities of the Seventh Administration, which is job creation."


The department's job creation initiatives have had a positive impact on the province, contributing to economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents. The newly recruited staff members will play a crucial role in helping the department achieve its goals and objectives.
