Sundowns clinch seventh straight PSL title

Mamelodi Sundowns hammered Kaizer Chiefs 5-1 to clinch their seventh straight league title at the FNB stadium.

Chief managed to keep the Yellow Nation at bay for the entire first half after getting an early red card after their defender Given Msimango denied Lucas Ribeiro a clear scoring opportunity on 19 minutes.

However the catastrophe resumed in the second half when they got “chesa mpama” trouncing. Tashreeq Matthews scored two goals while his teammates Matias Esquivel, Lucas Ribeiro and Thembinkosi Lorch each scored one.

Mduduzi Shabalala’s penalty gave birth to be just a consolation to discontent Amakhosi fans.

Sundowns 17th overall championship was secured with six games to spare following their unbeaten run so far in the season in the PSL.

The Azanian management congratulates Mamelodi Sundowns for clinching their seventh straight league title...welldone ...salute...Yellow Nation regards Mpho Dube, Director and Founder of The Azanian.
