Survival of the Fittest: Mama Rocks Boxing Promotions Brings International Boxing to Limpopo

The sun was setting over the Khoroni Hotel and Casino Resort in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, casting a warm orange glow over the vibrant crowd gathered for the historic launch of the "Survival of the Fittest" International Boxing Tournament.

Mama Rocks Boxing Promotions, the organizers of the event, were beaming with pride as they expressed their deepest gratitude to the esteemed guests, partners, media, and supporters who had honored the occasion with their presence.

The event was a testament to Limpopo's rich boxing heritage and its potential to inspire youth, build communities, and contribute to economic and cultural development across the province. The overwhelming show of support from the community and stakeholders was a reminder that Mama Rocks Boxing Promotions was not alone in its mission to restore boxing to its former glory.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were His Royal Highness Thovhele Gole Mphaphuli, MEC Jerry Funani Maseko, Chief Matsila of the Matsila Foundation, and Vho Sharon Ravele of Phalaphala FM.

Also in attendance were Ms. Martha Sidebi and the Khoroni Hotel & Casino team, ANCYL Secretary Phineas Boko Sebola, Mr. Moses Ngobeni, CEO of Limpopo Tourism Agency, Mr. Londani Mathavha, Limpopo Gambling Board, and Mr. Moscow Maepa, NYDA Veteran, among others.

The main event, the "Survival of the Fittest" International Boxing Tournament, is set to take place on Friday, 27 June 2025, at the Khoroni Hotel and Casino, Thohoyandou, and will be broadcast live on SABC 2 and SABC radio stations nationwide.
