The case against AKA and Tibz alleged killers postponed

The case against five of the seven men accused of murdering rapper Kiernan “Aka” Forbes along with his celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was postponed to March 6 in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday morning.

Forbes and Motsoane were killed outside Wish Restaurant in Florida Road, Durban on February 10, 2023.

Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi(30), Lindani Ndimande( 30), Eddie Myeza( 22),  Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni( 36) and Lindokuhle Ndimande (29) all face a total of 10 charges which include murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Tony Forbes earlier complained that the suspects covered themselves with masks until the court ordered them to reveal themselves. AKA’s father said however that he wanted to look into their eyes and get answers what informed all the suspects to kill his son.

KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi said the police will continue with their investigations without trepidation.

Police Minister Bekhi Cele confirmed that two of the accused were arrested in Eswatini and have not yet been extradited. Cele said however that while the extradition process has started, there was no time frame as to when they will be in South Africa.
