Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma: "We will litigate against the State, owners of the economy and private individuals" - New forum + foundation to defend citizens the system forgot

DURBAN — Enough is enough. The people are taking power back.

While government makes deals in Beijing and Parliament hides behind procedure, The March and March Movement has done what no one else would do. They built their own justice system.

On Monday night, movement leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma announced two new weapons for the people: The SA First Forum and The M&M Foundation. 

Modelled on AfriForum, but built for the majority. Built for citizens who cannot afford lawyers. Built for communities drowning in drugs, crime and broken promises.

"We have established a non-profit entity which shall trade under the name and style SA First Forum, this organisation will be the vanguard of South African citizens," Ngobese-Zuma told a packed media briefing in Durban.

"It will as and when necessary litigate against the State, owners of the economy and private individuals."

The chickens are coming home to roost.This is not an NGO. This is a war room.

The SA First Forum will fight on 6 fronts:

1.  Human rights violations

2.  Enforcement of immigration laws 

3.  Support for criminal prosecutions where legally permitted

4.  Class actions

5.  Legal education

6.  Advocacy

The objective is clear: Create a justice and legal buffer for South Africans who cannot vindicate their legal rights.

The first target is already locked. The Forum’s first case will go after a SAPS circular that Ngobese-Zuma says blocks police from joining citizen-led operations against drugs and crime.

While police are tied by paperwork, children are being sold. While the State debates, communities are dying.

Ngobese-Zuma did not hold back. She described the crisis in black townships in brutal terms.

"The people of our country continue to suffer untold pain as a result of the drugs sold to the youth. At the pace at which this country is going, this country will have no men in the near future either high on drugs or illicit drugs," she said.

"Young children continue to be trafficked daily, sold as sexual slaves in return for compensation. Communities still live in squalor with no basic services, sometimes no shelter over their heads."

That is why the law must now come from the people.

M&M FOUNDATION: BUILDING WHAT GOVERNMENT DESTROYED

The second entity is about repair.

The M&M Foundation will go where government has failed:

- Youth programmes to pull kids off drugs

- Support for people recovering from drug addiction

- Initiatives to help women exit prostitution 

- Financial support for the education of black children

"The movement will use the foundation to engage with all like-minded South Africans to fund the education of a black child, build a safety net for the future of our country," Ngobese-Zuma said.

The foundation is already registered. Boards and acting CEOs will be announced in the coming weeks.

"WHERE IS THE MINISTER FOR US?"

March and March also dropped the hammer on Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia.

The accusation: He meets with Pakistani and Somali communities. But he has "not once met with black South African communities to listen to our cries."

"He does not see a need to come to our townships and listen to the people," Ngobese-Zuma said.

Her question to the Minister: If you can engage foreign nationals, why can’t you engage the citizens paying your salary?

Let’s be honest. AfriForum has used the law to protect its own for years. They litigate. They win. They set precedence.

March and March is now doing the same — but for the people AfriForum ignores.

One legal forum to fight in court. One foundation to heal on the ground.

This is not about hate. This is about SA First. Citizens First. Children First.

Government was in China chasing R2.2 TRILLION this week.

March and March was in Durban building something worth more: A system that answers to the people.

From marches to legal papers. From protest to power."The vanguard of South African citizens" has arrived. And it has lawyers.The people are no longer asking. They are acting.
