Maruleng, Limpopo - In the face of devastating floods, Limpopo MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Tonny Rachoene, has refused to let his province's progress be washed away.

Yesterday, he led a delegation of officials, local leaders, and traditional authorities on a tour of flood-damaged infrastructure in Maruleng Municipality, vowing to rebuild and restore connectivity to affected communities.

The MEC's visit to the Bismarck Bridge on road D3901 and road D1656 in Mica, where bridges were severely damaged, underscored his commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind. "We will rebuild, and we will rebuild stronger," he declared, as he announced plans to deploy Dikgerekgere teams to restore damaged infrastructure and re-establish vital links.

Rachoene's hands-on approach has earned him praise from local leaders, including Maruleng Mayor, Cllr Tsheko Musolwa, who lauded his dedication to serving the people. "MEC Rachoene's visit shows that he is a leader who cares about the people of Maruleng and is committed to working with us to build a better future," he said.

As the province rallies to respond to the floods, Rachoene's leadership has been hailed as a beacon of hope for communities reeling from the impact of the disaster. His department's commitment to strengthening intergovernmental relations and working with municipalities and traditional leaders is a model for effective governance.

The people of Maruleng will not soon forget Rachoene's pledge to rebuild their infrastructure, and The Azanian Truth will continue to track the progress of this inspiring story.
