Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe is making waves in the South African Police Service (SAPS) with her exceptional leadership and dedication to serving the community.
As the first female Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, she has demonstrated remarkable expertise in managing 105 police stations, five districts, and 18 provincial components, with a total of 8,345 police act members and 2,014 public service personnel.
Under her leadership, Limpopo Province has seen significant strides in the fight against crime, with over 16,500 suspects arrested in the past financial year.
Notable successes include the arrest of 26 suspects and recovery of over R28 million worth of vehicles in an anti-smuggling operation, as well as a R2 billion drug lab bust in Groblersdal. General Hadebe's commitment to community engagement and transparency has earned her recognition as a trailblazer in the SAPS.
Recently, General Hadebe promoted 130 police officers, emphasizing the importance of integrity, accountability, and community service. She urged the officers to lead with courage and professionalism, addressing challenges like gender-based violence, commercial crime, and online scams.
General Hadebe's achievements are a testament to her hard work and commitment to her role. She has broken barriers throughout her illustrious career, rising through the ranks to become one of the highest-ranking female officers in the SAPS.
