Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality - In a significant step towards promoting health and wellness, MEC for Health in Limpopo, Dieketseng Mashego, will host a Bophelopele Awareness Outreach event at Molapo Community Hall, Ward 3, on Friday, 13 March 2026, at 10:00 AM.
This event is part of the Limpopo Department of Health's ongoing initiative "A long and healthy life for people in Limpopo" under the "Leave No One Behind" campaign.
The outreach aims to bring essential health services and information directly to the community, focusing on the importance of health and wellness.
The event will feature various health-related activities, screenings, and consultations, including HIV testing, blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings, and cancer awareness talks.
"We are committed to ensuring that every individual has access to quality healthcare," said MEC Mashego. "This event is an opportunity for us to engage with the community, understand their health needs, and provide necessary support and resources. We believe that health is a fundamental right, and it's our duty to make it accessible to all."
The community is eagerly awaiting the event, with many expressing their gratitude for the MEC's efforts. "We are thrilled that MEC Mashego is bringing health services to our doorstep," said a local resident. "It's a blessing to have such a dedicated leader who cares about our well-being."
"We appreciate the MEC's commitment to our health," added a community leader. "This event is a testament to her vision of a healthier Limpopo, and we are grateful for her tireless efforts."
The Bophelopele Awareness Outreach event is a testament to MEC Mashego's dedication to improving the health landscape in Limpopo. By taking health services to the community, the department aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access, particularly in rural areas.
Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the services offered. "It's a chance for individuals to take control of their health, learn about prevention, and get screened for potential health risks," said a MEC Mashego.
The event will also feature a question-and-answer session, allowing community members to engage with health experts and ask questions.
The Limpopo Department of Health invites all residents to join this important event and be part of the journey towards a healthier community.
