As MEC Tonny Rachoene completes his first year in office, it's clear that his leadership has been a game-changer for Limpopo's Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure department. With a strong focus on job creation, infrastructure development, and community engagement, Rachoene has made a significant impact in the province.
Rachoene's commitment to community upliftment is evident in his foundation, which focuses on supporting local schools, clinics, and sports development programs. Through his annual charity tournament, Rachoene raises funds for these initiatives, demonstrating his dedication to creating a better life for the people of Limpopo.
Rachoene's academic achievements are a testament to his commitment to personal growth and development. Recently, he graduated with an Honours degree in Public Administration from MANCOSA, a feat that showcases his ability to balance work and studies. His academic background has equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive meaningful change in the province.
Under Rachoene's leadership, the department has created over 435 new jobs in just 10 months, with 174 new recruits joining the department in a single initiative. This brings hope to many families in Limpopo, who can now provide for their loved ones. "Today, I will be able to put bread on the table for my family," said a 35-year-old woman who benefited from the program.
Rachoene's department has embarked on ambitious projects to upgrade and maintain the province's road network. The 21 New Roads initiative is set to transform the province's road infrastructure, making it more accessible and drivable for all. "The future looks bright," said Phillip Machubeni, a father of five who benefited from the job creation initiative.
Rachoene's commitment to community engagement is evident in his Stakeholders Tuesdays platform, where he meets with business, traditional leaders, and civil society to discuss progress and challenges. His role in fostering relationships with traditional leaders has also earned him praise from Contralesa President Kgoshi Mathupa Mokoena, who commended Rachoene for respecting and empowering traditional leaders.
As Rachoene continues to lead the department, we can expect even more exciting projects and initiatives that will benefit the people of Limpopo. His vision for Limpopo's future is one of sustained growth, improved infrastructure, and enhanced service delivery. With the support of the community, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders, Rachoene is poised to make a lasting impact in the province.
"He is a force to be reckoned with, known for being a man of his words who practices what he preaches," said a community member.
"MEC Rachoene has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of the needs of his community," said Maza Msomi.
ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula has commended Rachoene for his hard work and dedication to public service.
The ANC Youth League has also expressed its support for Rachoene, praising his leadership skills and commitment to job creation.
As Nelson Mandela once said, "It always seems impossible until it's done." MEC Tonny Rachoene's achievements in his first year in office are a testament to his dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people of Limpopo. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of his leadership.
