Tributes Paid to Fallen Police Constable

A joint memorial service was held for three police constables whose bodies were retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion, Pretoria last week. The service was attended by colleagues and superiors, who paid tribute to the fallen officers.


The three officers who lost their lives are remembered for their dedication, skills, and passion for serving their community. They are:

- Constable Keamogetswe Buys: A member of the Cyber Unit, known for her IT qualifications and bubbly personality.

- Constable Cebekhulu Linda: A member of the security intelligence unit, remembered for his love of cars and dedication to his family legacy in the police force.

- Constable Boipelo Senoge: A member of the Sea Relief Unit, described as a true soldier who brought light and happiness to her unit with her energetic and bubbly personality.


Thabure Unit Commander Brigadier SP Kubheka spoke fondly of Constables Keamogetswe Buys and Cebekhulu Linda, who had joined the division last year in July. He highlighted their unique skills and qualifications that made them valuable assets to the unit. Buys was placed in the Cyber Unit due to her IT qualifications, while Linda's background in security intelligence made him a valuable member of the team.


Sea Relief Unit Commander Constable Mkhetho described Constable Boipelo Senoge as a true soldier and a source of light and happiness in her unit. He remembered Senoge as a bubbly and energetic person who always spread joy and positivity. Mkhetho shared the lessons he learned from Senoge, emphasizing the importance of happiness and finding joy in one's work.


The memorial service was a testament to the dedication and service of the fallen officers. Their colleagues and superiors will remember them for their skills, their passion, and their commitment to serving their community.
